STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Alcoholic Beverages; Enforcement, Requirements and Penalties; Statement From Purchaser as to Age. Amend RSA 179:8 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:
III. Notwithstanding any other law, nothing shall prohibit a licensee from scanning any of the approved forms of identification outlined in paragraph I for the purposes of verifying the age of a person purchasing alcohol or tobacco products. Nothing in this paragraph shall authorize the licensee to record, retain, or store, in any electronic form or format, information in motor vehicle records that identifies a person, including a person's photograph or computerized image, social security number, driver identification number, name, address (but not the 5-digit zip code), telephone number, and medical or disability information obtained from any of the approved forms of identification.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The Office of Legislative Budget Assistant states this bill, as amended by the House, has no fiscal impact on state, county and local expenditures or revenue.
