METHODOLOGY:
This bill establishes a local river management advisory committee grant program and makes an
appropriation of $40,000 in FY 2026 and $40,000 in FY 2027.
The Department of Environmental Services indicates administration of the grant program and associated funds will require minimal staff support from existing staff. The Department assumes the grant funds included in the bill are intended to be 100% pass through and not to be utilized for administrative purposes. However, the Department acknowledges some staff time will be required to administer the program, but that the addition work can be absorbed by existing staff.
